24/7 call
The first step is a calm conversation: where the patient is, what happened, and who is calling — family, hospital or insurer.
What this means for you
You do not need every document ready. You need a few basics so we can start assessment.
Dispatch assesses the request and tells you clearly, from the first call, what we can organise and how fast.
You can call from Romania or abroad; we speak Romanian and English.
What happens on the call
- We note location, destination and a short severity picture.
- We ask for a medical contact when available for clinical details.
- We decide if a physician must call back now or on a scheduled slot.
- We give you a concrete next step (documents, who calls back, when).
Guidelines and legal frame (briefly)
- The first contact clarifies the mission: immediate or scheduled transfer, ground or flight escort.
- Depending on severity, departure can be organised within hours of the first call.
- Requests from hospitals or insurers are common: one communication thread reduces errors.
Keep handy
- Patient name and date of birth (or age).
- Current city / hospital and desired destination.
- A callback number.
- If known: oxygen, stretcher, isolation, contact precautions — briefly.
General information based on good practice in medical transfer: assess before transfer, continuity of care, clear handover. It does not replace a physician’s assessment.
