Commercial-flight medical escort
For stable patients on long distances: medic or nurse on a scheduled flight, plus junction ambulances at origin and destination.
When it makes sense
- Stable patient, fit to fly after medical assessment
- Distances where ground ambulance would be too long or costly
- Need for medical continuity without a dedicated air ambulance jet
What we organize
- Fit to Fly assessment and MEDIF-style airline documentation
- Seat / extra seat / stretcher configuration when the airline allows
- Ambulance hospital–airport and airport–destination
- In-flight medical crew with portable kit per carrier rules
Final approval rests with the airline. Commercial escort does not replace dedicated ICU air ambulance when the patient is unstable.
In plain language
A commercial-flight escort means a doctor or nurse travels with the patient on a scheduled airline. It is not “just a companion”: it is care during the flight, plus ground ambulances at both ends.
The airline must approve boarding (medical file). If the patient is not stable enough, we discuss ground ambulance or — when needed — dedicated air ambulance coordination.
